Pew report on the Second Generation
The 20 million adult U.S- born children of immigrants are much better off than immigrants themselves. They have higher incomes, more are college graduates and homeowners and fewer live in poverty. Among Latinos and Asian-Americans, they are more likely to speak English, have friends outside their racial and ethnic group, and think of themselves as "a typical American." Visit Pew to view the full report.
